screw remaining shown at bottom of pic
So I want to repair my fancy-pants pair of sunglasses that lost the tiny hex-screws that hold the lenses on. I googled for repair screws/nuts and found !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! :

The kit is $0.99 with free shipping. How can that be? I mean, that’s a loss proposition for any business, isn’t it? Although I guess I have only a dollar to lose finding out.
Or I can pay $18.95 processing fee to get replacements via the manufacturer’s lifetime warranty (which is less than the cost of a whole new pair to them and so just another way to make $ out of me).

What in the world? How?
Oh, I see. The screwdriver is $0.99, and you pay extra for the screws. Sneaky. Still, $4.59 doesn’t sound bad, especially with that free shipping.

I bet we’d be very surprised to find out - especially for non name brands - just how cheap they are and that you paying 18.95 actually does cover their cost.

Oh, I wasn’t kidding. I read articles about how even the most expensive brands are cheap to manufacture, and command a ridiculous mark up.

Yeah, still barely above cost with shipping, I would think.
